The National Day of Pakistan is on the 23 March (Republic Day, Islamic republic in 1956), 14 August (Independence Day, independence from the British Indian Empire in 1947).
National Day of Pakistan
The national day of Pakistan comes with the history which may be of interest. The National Day of Pakistan is celebrated on the 23rd annually. This is to remember the passing of the Lahore Resolution on the 23rd March 1940. This called for the creation firstly of an independent state for Muslims in British India.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah (born on the 25th December 1876 in Karachi) during the session of the Muslim League in Lahore proposed the resolution. This was passed by the Muslim League. Muhammad Ali Jinnah passed away on the 11th September 1948, just over a year after Pakistan’s independence.
