The National Day of Guyana is on the 26th May (Independence day) and on the 23rd February (Republic Day). This commemorates their independence from the United Kingdom in 1966. National Day of Peru
Firstly the national day of Peru is on the 28th July. This is to celebrate their independence from Spain in 1821. The day is called the Fiestas Patrias, or Patriotic Festivals. You will note below that it is a public holiday that spans two days in Peru. Finally there is an annual celebration that starts on the eve of national day and then proceeds over the two day period. National Day of Colombia
The National Day of Colombia is on the 20th July. Colombia got its independence on the 20th July in 1810. The history of their independence is of interest to many. There had been many countries in South Africa who gained independence from the Spanish. Colombia is only one of those countries.
National Day of South Africa
Firstly the national day of South Africa is on the 27th of April and is called Freedom Day. Secondly Freedom Day in South Africa as a national day is a public holiday as is celebrated annually on the 27th April. The national day of South Africa is to celebrate freedom as well as commemorates the first post-apartheid elections held on that day in 1994. National Day of Zimbabwe
The National Day of Zimbabwe is on the 18th April (Independence Day, declaration of independence from the United Kingdom 1980. Note that (it had been unilaterally declared independent as Rhodesia already in 1965). The history of the National Day of Zimbabwe is as follows. In 1953 Zimbabwe started as Southern Rhodesia and was part of a federation.
National Day of Vietnam
The National Day of Vietnam is on the 2 September (National Day, declaration of independence from France and Japan 1945). This took place in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh Square, where Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s founding father, read the Declaration of Independence. The National Day in Vietnam if the 2 September falls on a Friday then expect everything to slow until the Monday. Hanoi is normally empty during the National Day celebrations. National Day of Venezuela
The National Day of Venezuela or Venezuela’s Independence Day is celebrated on the July 5th each year. This day marks when the country declared its independence from Spain in 1811. Now in this day, the people of Venezuela remember as well as honor the heroes of the struggle for independence. Those who fought for their freedom which includes leaders such as Simón Bolívar as well as Francisco de Miranda.
